Going to the playoffs?

The first weekend of playoff football has ended and there are some last minute travel plans to make if you are going to the games. SportsGroupie had the schedules updated within minutes of the final scores to help you get a jump on the planning.

New England Patriot fans will be traveling to Denver for a shot at 11 in a row. Since there is little time, the best deals I have seen today are $429 on AirTran and $450 on AmericaWest.

There are fares between those two at OneTravel.com, but customer service horror stories would make me hesitant to risk my trip for $15.

Redskins fans have a short time to plan a long trip to Seattle. Today's prices look much better for them. $262-$300 on Northwest out of BWI and $303 on Delta. The Delta flight times are MUCH better than Northwest, though (nobody really want to try to make a 1AM flight after the game).

For those of you making the trip, I hope you have a great time and that Sports Groupie has been a help.

Paul English on TV

Paul (CTO of Kayak.com, SportsGroupie.com's meta-search partner) was interviewed by ABC World News tonight. Paul has been working on an informal list of "secret" codes to get through corporate phone systems to a real human. You can see the page at Paul's site. Hopefully, Paul will be on the air on Monday or Tuesday. Look for him on NBC and in People Magazine very soon. Nice job, Paul.

Welcome to the Sidelines

Greetings sports fans! Thanks for checking out SportsGroupie.com. Hopefully you have poked around and you see what we are trying to do.

To kick things off, I want to know what we are doing right and what we are doing wrong. Do you love the calendar? Does meta-search makes sense? Or did you scratch your head and say "Um, what am I supposed to do now?"

I really want to know so we can make SportsGroupie the premier, one-stop shop for sports travel; tickets, airfare, hotel, and rental cars.

Check back soon...we will be updating this SportsGroupie.com almost every day.

Thanks, Coach
